o Individuals are more likely to be arrested in their 20s than in any other decade of their lives o Identifying and aiding adolescents prone to delinquency is important to help prevent future issues; however, it is not the perfect prevention o The earlier an individual starts displaying delinquent behavior, the likelihood of them achieving future endeavors decreases - Suicide o Suicidal thoughts are becoming more and more common among adolescents o Worldwide, females are more likely to attempt suicide while males are more likely to complete suicide o Generally speaking, most cases of suicide are preceded by a significant negative event o Some signs and symptoms of suicide:  Giving away possessions  Withdrawing from friends, family, and school  Talking about suicide plans  A sudden mood increase because a decision has been made o Recognizing these signs is the best prevention method for suicide.
