Creating a Supportive and Nonjudgmental Care Environment Nurses are responsible for delivering care to clients across a spectrum of disorders, both physical and psychological. This care should always be administered in a manner that is nurturing, empathetic, and impartial. Regardless of age, background, or condition, every client deserves to be treated with respect and compassion. The focus should be on the client's needs and well-being, rather than any biases or judgments held by the nurse. 1.
