4.3.2 Perimeter Perimeter is defined as the length of a continuous line that forms the boundary of a closed geometric figure. To find the perimeter of a polygon add up all the side lengths. Example Find the perimeter of figure . Perimeter = + + + + = 2.37 + 2.20 + 3.69 + 3.02 + 1.61 = 12.89 cm The perimeter of figure is 12.89 cm. Notice that the unit of measure remains unaffected.
