witness any symptoms of this tumor, but generally growing pains occur and the person may develop a limp. These are most common in teens and young adults. Fibrosarcoma Fibroscoma is a tumor that originates in the mesenchymal cells and is mostly malignant in nature. It can occur as a mass of soft tissues and can be primary or secondary. Primary fibroscoma is characterized by the production of variable amounts of collagen arising either within the medullary canal or from the periosteum. In contrast, secondary fibroscoma arises from a pre-existing lesion or post radiotherapy to soft tissues. Tumors of the Muscular System Tumors of the muscular system are rare and can be categorized as per the type of the muscle-fiber. Tumors of the muscular system can be categorized as skeletal muscle origin or smooth muscle origin. The tumors originating in the skeletal muscles can be benign (rhabdomyoma), or malignant (rhabdomyosarcoma, alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma, and pleomorphic rhabdomyosarcoma). In contrast, smooth muscle tumors can again be benign (angioleiomyoma, deep leiomyoma, and genital leiomyoma) or malignant (leiomyosarcoma). Benign tumors are categorized by the formation of a lump that can be felt in the muscles. These grow very slowly and can even be shifted under the skin or connective tissues. In contrast, malignant tumors feel like a lump in the muscles, which may or may not be tender. These grow at a faster rate and are attached to the skin, and hence, cannot be shifted.
